Generating AWS Access Key for TotalCloud

To generate AWS Key to provide access to TotalCloud, do the following steps:

  1. Sign in to Amazon IAM console.
  2. In the Identity and Access Management (IAM) pane, click Users.
  3. Click Add User.

  1. In the Set User Details section, enter the User name
  2. In the Set AWS Access Type section, select the Access Type as Programmatic access.
  3. Click Next: Permissions.

  1. On the Set permissions page,avoid setting permissions. Click Next: Tags.

  1. On the Tags page, make no changes and click Next:Review.
  2. On the Review page, review all the information and generate Access key ID and Secret key ID.

  1. On the TotalCloud AWS account setup page, paste the values for Access Key and Secret Key.

We suggest you to add the following policy to the role or user to make the TotalCloud experience a breeze.

  1. Click Validate.
  2. Enter a Profile Name and create a profile for this AWS account.
  3. You can view the new profile(s) under Preferences.
